A gorgeous Stoke Newington couple asked us to make this totally gorgeous edible flower cake for their wedding, the bride specified the colours she liked best and we used a brilliant edible flower grower in the south of England, who picked some stunning blooms for us to use on the cake.

Flowerfetti 4

It’s a dark chocolate milkshake cake, covered in vanilla bean buttercream with edible flower petals…and prices start from £2.50 per portion.

What could be more romantic than a wedding cake covered with hundreds of perfectly hand-piped miniature roses?

Bright, fun and pretty gorgeous, the delicate little sugar roses are individually made by hand and painstakingly placed on to complete the diagonal pattern.

Totally customisable, we can colour match the roses to any colour you choose - and we bake amazing cakes of all sorts of recipes including a classic Genoese sponge, to a more adventurous chocolate milkshake cake with a very grown up mascarpone filling.

I’ve had to dig out the old sugar flower making skills recently…lovely to be stretching a different creative muscle!

So here are a couple of close ups of a sugar flower made using a dog rose cutter…which can be made to look a wee bit like an open peony too.

We were recently asked to make some customised jammie biscuits as wedding favours - incorporating the couples initials N and A…we came up with a few ideas, but the little gingerbread men looked the cutest!

They’re great because they can be personalised with the couples initials or just a simple heart shape…here are a couple more ideas that could look great as favours too…

And here’s a pic of the beautiful couple themselves and their lovely cake (!) - Nic and Al…xx
